So I've decided I'm just going to make a recommendation list for my friends to look at. My first warning is that I don't really like comedies. You'll be hard pressed to find vulgar humor in the series I like to watch. However, I do appreciate witty banter. Secondly, character death is not something that will make me stop watching/reading a series; neither is excessive violence. You can look below and see if my tastes are compatible with yours and see what you like. I do distinguish between series that are completed by simply placing a (complete) notice by the title. As always, my little blurbs by the title are my opinion. Feel free to google a title if you want another summary or review of the series. Also, the entry will be continuously edited. Later on, I plan to make an asian dramas rec list as well as a TV (western) show rec list. Also, if I recommend an anime series that I also like the manga of, I will simply say (refer to manga review) or (refer to anime review) to avoid redundacy.

So when I was watching FNS Kayousai and Keyhole TV was dying on me every 5 minutes or so, during a performance, KHTV froze on what I consider a pretty hilarious moment. Thus, I took a screencap. See below.

Epik High just rekindles my love of music so much. Tablo's writing simply astounds me. How does he make rap into art? Later this week I might start posting excerpts of my favorite Epik High songs to spread the love~!

If you know of the X fandom, based on CLAMP's amazing manga, I highly recommend you read Epic by mithrigil. It is simply one of the best examples of writing and characterization that I have come across in these recent years. Check it out! Also, I should be sleeping right now since I have class in less than 6 hours. Hmm...

I know. We see it all the time, but for some reason I just felt compelled to compile a list of what spelling and grammar errors really annoy me. I don't mean to offend anybody, but please don't fall prey to these easily fixed issues!

1) your is not you're. For example, your spelling sucks. You are really stupid.
2) their is not they're, which is not there. For example, their unique spelling mistakes are very annoying. They are people who need to fix these problems. There is a simple way to do that.
3) Past and present tenses~! If you're using present tense and suddenly switch to past tense, it disrupts the flow of your writing! Don't make it difficult for your reader!
4) Comma usage. 2 sentences joined by a conjunction should use some type of punctuation. I like to write long sentences, but it is important to punctuate them correctly.
5) Possession. I am contracts to I'm. Not Im. I'm.
6) In general, typos are not cool. Spellcheck exists for a reason. Please use it. Also, betas are helpful at times. They are there to help you.
7) Comma splices. A personal pet peeve of mine that I really hate seeing. Of course, compared to the above, I could live with a few of these. Running through the chilly air, I suddenly saw a silvery mist appear in front of my path; and I stopped dead in my tracks. Please note the usage of the semi-colon instead of a comma. If there was a comma used there, that would be a comma splice. It is simply there to help the flow of writing.

Why can't we celebrate Armistice Day like the rest of the world? No, America must be different and celebrate Veteran's Day, which, to be honest, I think is less important than Armistice Day. Anyways, managed to do okay on my genetics test (mysteriously!) and have another orgo test on Wednesday. AGH. But oh well. ^^ Weekend! But am appyling to work in various bio labs.... I want to work! PLEASE TAKE ME. But agh, openings are few... =_= And, I haven't podficced. And I want to. But that requires a block of free time of which I don't have. T_T

Got 4.5 hours of sleep yesterday and don't know when I'll go to sleep today. Have to wake up at 10 am (yay, 1 extra hour on Wednesdays) but if I'm lucky, maybe I'll get to sleep by 3 AM. That would be amazing. Just took a nap or else I'd be completely incoherent and didn't tutor today. =_= Oh well, I didn't make extra money, but I totally wasn't awake enough to tutor today. I almost fell asleep working my last hour as a desk receptionist for my dorm. Badness. Paper due tomorrow and I'm behind in organic chem. Again. Not to mention Genetics is eating my life because the p-set's only 3 problems and the second problem is evil. Seriously evil evil evil. So, who else is having a crappy week at college? I'd like to know how many people are universally wiped out among the collegiate world, hahaha.

So I'm in the planning stages for lavvyan's Routines. That'll happen soon, hopefully. I might have some time tomorrow actually. O_o We'll see about that. Meanwhile, my first exam is coming up next Wednesday on the 24th, the same day that Mirotic, DBSK's 4th Korean album, comes out. AGH. T_________T WHY. Orgo = DEATH. Well, not really. But I need to really make sure I understand the material or else I'll be doomed as the semester goes on in that class. My genetics p-set is due tomorrow but it's okay so far? Ish? Meh. =_= Got my Hello Kitty humidifier in the mail today. It's adorable! The mist comes out of its ears! ^^

Tropical storm something is passing by and making Boston weather UNBEARABLE. The humidity is 80%+ and has been for 2 days now. EW. EW. And yes, EW. T__________________T Am worried I won't get to be a math grader since my first semester freshmen math grades weren't good. And I really need the money. T_T Classes are fine so far. Japanese I and my Introduction to Japanese Culture class are really nice although Japanese I at MIT uses JSL romanization which is breaking my brain. T_T Orgo is... orgo. We'll see about that. Genetics is... I love the subject but my professor is boring me to death currently. OMG, please actually CLARIFY your lecture points. T_T And I have him until the first exam. I'm doomed. T_T

It's registration day. =_= Met my advisor, a very nice elderly woman. ^^ Although her office has a sad tendency to have a locked door and then you go the back way but that's okay. Am going to be making apple and cheese omelets with a few friends before classes start tomorrow. AGH. I have 3 lectures tomorrow. T_T At least it's not Monday. Then I get 4 lectures. EW. That will be a very very trying day. T_T But yeah, classes starting soon. And I still don't have a syllabus for 2 of them. =_= Oh, college.

So, I'm going to sleep after I post this. I just finished recording and editing Dearest. Music to be added in the morning tomorrow because I'm tired. And dorm rooms make recording difficult. Because it's never quiet, really, on a college campus. =_= What can you do? =_= AGH Oh well, I love podficcing~!

If you haven't noticed, I've been podficcing a lot recently. And additionally, lavvyan's letting me do a variety of her works! YAY! *dances around* And I have great fun deciding music for the opening, ending, and transitions of the fics. And I have a sad penchant for violin solo music. What can I say? I'm a orchestra dork at heart. But anyways, yeah, that's how my life is going right now. That and getting ready for classes on Wednesday! I hope I can find my advisor's office... O_o

... I have to share my horrible enthusiasm. My past 2-3 days have been engaged in heavy duty SGA fic reading since I've been lax in keeping up during the term. And SGA always has a very large chunk of my soul. And then. I got sucked into. Supernatural. Which makes no sense. I have only seen like, 20-30 minutes of an episode but the fics! The fics! The clarity and characterization and emotion... It's really quite beautiful. I haven't had this feeling for a new fandom in about 2 years. Hmm. Actually, I seem to pick up a new fandom every 2 years, and it always hits me like a thunderbolt. So, now that I'm done going YAY over fanfic, I shall return to it. Ah, it's beautiful. The power of words and the human imagination is something that will always move and astound me.

So I wonder how the world has become such a place, of hate, of new awakenings, of wonder, of death, of deceit, of consideration, of myriad minuscule events happenings across this planet. What have we become? What are we now? What were we, and what are we moving towards? This I wonder at this early hour as music plays in the background and people sleep contentedly in their homes and the stars shine in the sky with perhaps superficial beauty. What does it mean to be human? I am sure everyone has asked the same question sometime during their lifespan. But what is it? How do we define it? Why am I questioning the world and humanity? I do not know except that I feel compelled to write these words to at least spur some thought among others. What defines an individual? Who are you? Where are you going? What will you do? Perhaps it is pointless to ask, but words hold power. Power over the mind and in lies and in truth. The power of words... I wonder how many petty fights and wars have started over the power of words. But I digress. I hope you have something to think about now.

So it's summer. Did okay overall, not terrible, which is good. Am totally looking forward to the fall~~~! My friend that I beta for may finish her fic soon, yay~! As a side note, found my old appetizers cookbook and am going to make yummy things to eat throughout the summer.
